New Year, new tech and new workflow

A new year, and a new workflow for imaging objects in space. This is the first time I have been able to apply the rest of what I have learned at Kitt Peak in October. Between poor weather and dome issues, I have had to wait until the clear night of January 1, 2020. Using Sequence Generator Pro software to automate the imaging process, along with a new field rotator on my 400mm refractor and a home-built diffraction spike attachment, I was able to get this image.

I started imaging at 6pm and ended it at 1:30 am when I discovered the dome motor was not engaging the dome and the camera was pointing inside the dome! But I managed to get 33 usable frames in hydrogen-alpha and 23 frames of ionized sulphur. Unfortunately I will have to wait for another clear night to add the ionized oxygen. But so far the new workflow seems to be showing much promise!
