PixInsight Learning Resources

I would like to share some information on learning resources for PixInsight I have personally used and recommended. If you are a newcomer to PixInsight, it can seem quite daunting. But stick with it and you will realize how indispensable this software really is!

First, I have been attending the Zoom calls with the Masters of PixInsight. Founded by ambassadors of PixInsight Warren Keller who also authored the Patrick Moore Practical Astronomy Series book Inside PixInsight, Ron Brecher who has authored many articles for Sky & Telescope, and Peter Proulx at IP4AP. Warren and Ron are available for a personal consultation if you need it.

This series has offered some very helpful lessons on improving astro-imaging with PixInsight. They have been running these monthly and you get files to practice with as well as process icons and project files.

Next, I would also like to point you to Adam Block who has personally helped me tackle annoying problems in my imaging. He is available for a personal consultation.

Last but certainly not least is a beautiful new book written by Rogelio Bernal Andreo titled “Mastering PixInsight”. I have the hardcopy book in my reference library and I highly recommend you add it to yours. Rogelio is a remarkable photographer on many levels and has accomplished some very difficult mosaics of the night sky.

I don’t get any commission from any sales from these people. I have not been paid to recommend them. I have used these resources myself quite successfully in my imaging workflow. If it works for me, it can work for you too!

Clear Skies!
