The Chamberlain Observatory is a private observatory built and owned by Dale Chamberlain for the purpose of observing the heavens. The observatory was originally established in 2003 with a SkyShed roll off roof observatory. This was replaced in 2017 with the SkyShed POD MAX domed observatory. In fact, it is the first SkyShed POD MAX observatory built and operational in the United States.

The purpose of this website is to provide a source of information for amateur astronomers, images of the solar system and deep space objects for any interested party, and awareness of the Chamberlain Observatory.

The primary telescope is an Astro-Tech 14″ Ritchey-Chrétien. Sky and Telescope magazine published a review of it in their July 2016 issue, using the exact scope currently housed at the Chamberlain Observatory. Once the article was completed, they shipped the scope directly to me.

Information about the hardware and software used can be found here.

Enjoy your stay!
