The ZWO ASI1600MC-Pro and the ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro are identical cameras except the MM-Pro is monochrome only and has no color matrix on the sensor. Therefore, it must be used with a color filter wheel to achieve color images.
They both have Panasonic MN34230 4/3 CMOS sensors.
The ZWO ASI1600MC-Pro is a one-shot color (OSC) camera. It has been discontinued by ZWO and is no longer available for a new purchase. It has been replaced with the ZWO ASI294MC-Pro.
Both cameras are equipped with a USB 3.0 port and USB 2.0 hub, and a 2 stage TEC cooling system to enable very deep cooling (40°C-45°C below ambient). Backfocus is 6.5mm.
ZWO has discontinued the ASI1600MC-Pro and the ASI1600MM-Pro cameras. Chamberlain Observatory has replaced them with the ZWO ASI2600MC-Pro and ASI2600MM-Pro.
